You may find yourself passing through a Life Avenue/Calamity Lane intersection in your own life. Perhaps you just lost your husband or maybe are going through a divorce or other situation that has thrust you into a newly-independent position. You may have a spouse who has become disabled, or has a terminal illness. According to a recent study, approximately 80% of married women will become widowed and remain independent for an average of 14 years. Through collaborative efforts and our hand-holding approach, our Financial Independence for WomenTM program assists the newly independent woman. We partner with her to coordinate, manage, and accomplish the various transition tasks, while increasing her understanding and education along this journey.
If you have not yet arrived at a Life Avenue/Calamity Lane intersection, inevitably, you will encounter an unfortunate Life Stage Transition. We all find ourselves in the midst of a calamity at some point in our lives. On average, one half of marriages end in divorce, which is a calamity in and of itself thus 50% married individuals who read this will become a divorcee. If you are among the 50% of happily-ever-after married couples, or in a long-term partnership, it is highly likely that one of you will become a widow/widower at some point in the future. Are you confident that you have the knowledge and resources to manage such a transition on your own? It is imperative to prepare for this time period beyond traditional estate planning methods. Through in-depth communication and discovery, our Life Stage Planning for CouplesTM program assists couples to discuss, create, and implement a contingency plan. We also assist in coordinating, managing, and accomplishing the various transition preparation tasks while increasing the couples’ understanding and education along this journey.
